Banjos

Banjos or bazookas are one of the best drywall tools that simultaneously tape and mud drywall seams. It cuts short work of covering drywall seams with paper tape. But speed isn’t the only advantage a banjo offers. It practically eliminates the common problem of loose or bubbling tape that plagues many beginning tapers.

Drill Mixers

Great selection of construction mud or concrete mixing tools available. The “ready-mix” compound you buy isn’t necessarily “ready to apply.” It needs preparation. That involves mixing it and adding what’s needed to achieve the right consistency. You’ll need a low-rpm drill (450-600 rpm) to mix the compound. Using a low-RPM drill with a mixer attachment, push the attachment to the bottom of the bucket and begin the drill slowly. Work the mixing attachment up and down, in and around the mix. Mix until you can scoop some onto your drywall knife and hold it vertically. If it slowly slides off the knife, it’s just right. If it sticks in place for more than a few seconds, it’s too thick and needs more mixing. If it slides off straight away, it’s too thin and needs time or more mix to solidify. If your mix won’t thin down to the right consistency, add a touch of water (a few tablespoons to a third of a 5-gallon bucket is sufficient to start). Mix for about 20 seconds and recheck consistency. If it’s too thin, add more mix from the box, or some powdered mud mix to thicken.

Drywall Stilts

Heavy duty stilts are used for drywall construction, finish painting, and hanging suspended ceiling tiles. It can be nerve-wracking, but will eventually become second nature once you get the hang of it. However, being able to walk in stilts and being able to perform manual labor in stilts for hours on end are two very different things. Make sure you're confident you can do both. Floor & Ice Scrapers

A common use for a floor scraper is to remove old underlay or carpet which has been glued directly to the wooden or concrete subfloor. A floor scraper is also a useful tool for removing carpet staples from plywood and particle-wood floors. The blade of the scraper will shear off some staples and pull out others. Gun & Hopper Units

Plastering Brushes

Plastering brushes are utilized in spreading or removing water from plastered surfaces. This brush retains water better than conventional brushes, and can spread water evenly onto the surface. It can also get rid of scratches and blisters on plaster.

Putty & Joint Knives

Most joint knives can scrape off drywall mud and simple spackle or putty but harder materials can be more of a problem. The joint knife can even buckle when applied too hard, potentially resulting in an injury. Additionally, these utility knives have a flat edge and are more flexible than a rigid putty knife.

Sanders & SandPaper

There are two main types of drywall sanders you can choose from: manual or electric.

Manual sanders are simple, budget-friendly options ideal for smaller jobs such as patching broken drywall, sanding corners and smoothing out round edges. They come in a few different types. A hand sander is a great all-purpose tool. Just load it with sandpaper and you’re good to go. Electric drywall sanders – also known as drywall power sanders – are a better choice if you are a professional contractor or frequently do drywall work.

An electric drywall sander saves time compared with a manual sander and provides plenty of power to sand ceilings and walls while also removing residue, paint coatings and adhesive.

Sandpaper is produced in a range of grit sizes and is used to remove material from surfaces, either to make them smoother (for example, in painting and wood finishing), to remove a layer of material (such as old paint), or sometimes to make the surface rougher (for example, as a preparation for gluing).

Saws & Circle Cutters

There are main types of drywall cutting tools: a utility knife and drywall circle cutter. A utility knife is recommended for scoring drywall panels, which is done by cutting through the drywall’s paper layer. You can also use it to trim drywall. Be aware that utility knives may not be the most efficient for cutting small, precise pieces of drywall. In that case, use a precision knife. A circular saw is a tool for cutting many materials such as wood, masonry, plastic, or metal and may be hand-held or mounted to a machine. In woodworking the term "circular saw" refers specifically to the hand-held type and the table saw and chop saw are other common forms of circular saws.

Tape & Wall Patch

Do you need to patch screw holes in drywall or repair drywall cracks or just need a drywall hole cover? Then yes you need tape. You should also scrape away the existing drywall around the joint to make room to bed the drywall repair tape and make a flush, smooth repair. Using self-adhesive drywall patch is the way to go.

Taping Knives

A taping knife or joint knife is a drywall tool with a wide blade for spreading joint compound, also known as "mud". It can be used to spread mud over nail and screw indents in new drywall applications and is also used when using paper or fiberglass drywall tape to cover seams.
