Industrial Heaters 101: How They Work
Come winter, the hurried scramble for the ideal heater is on. There’s nothing more exhausting than working long hours in uncomfortable temperature conditions, especially in large scale industries and warehouses. Let’s face it: Cold weather conditions are not exactly the breeding ground for high productivity standards or extraordinarily high-quality products or services.
Security Chain System In A Box
Toolfetch carries the Pewag security chain, this chain has been proven to be uncuttable by most portable cutting machines used for theft. The chain is hardened and has a squared off surface that bolt cutters cannot “bite” onto to make a cut. This chain is perfect for multiple uses, our customers use it for: bike chain lock or bike lock, motorcycle security chain, security chain for door, chain link fence gate locks, trailer hitch lock and boat security chain.
Roof Safety Tips
There are many dangers when working on the roof and scaffolding. Commercial buildings have safety equipment in place to prevent falls and residential buildings may require the person to carry safety equipment and secure themselves at the start of a project. Here are some of the most common safety equipment that can prevent falls.
Guardrails
Guardrails that are OSHA compliant can be found on many commercial buildings. These help protect workers who work on the roof from falling over the edge but it also helps prevent falls from scaffolding as well. Guardrails can be a life saver on high rise buildings and it is required in many buildings and projects.
Fall Protection Anchors
Carabiners that secure lifelines are very important when working on tall buildings. A poor carabiner can fail at an instant, resulting in a deadly fall. Carabiners are are a necessity for anyone that is hanging from rope. These anchors can come in various sizes and the most commonly shaped type is the D-Shaped carabiner, which can secure most when climbing or descending.
Safety Harnesses
Fall safety cannot be complete without a proper safety harness. These harnesses usually have a built-in carabiner that attaches to a lifeline. The user will put the harness over their shoulders and secure it around their chest and waist. This harness prevents most falls and it also helps the user find stability when working at great heights.
Horizontal Lifelines
Horizontal lifelines are a very important configuration on the roof of buildings. This wire rope cable is usually attached to anchor points that are connected to the roof. The wire rope cable is thick and can handle heavy loads. Many workers connect themselves to this lifeline when working on the roof and that is oftentimes a bit more cost efficient that building guardrails on the roof.
Rigid rails are the other common lifeline system on a roof and this composes of an anchor, a safety harness, and a lanyard which may be self-retracting so the user an easily move around on a roof without any restrictions from length.
Important Tips when Working on a Roof
1. Secure yourself with a strap and harness at all times. A slight misstep can result in a deadly fall so this is the biggest lifeline.
2. Ensure that guardrails meet all compliance requirements. Misplaced guardrails are not reliable and can result in failure.
3. Ensure that the climate is suited for roof projects. Hot, rainy, icy climates can be dangerous to your health and can drastically reduce grip on the roof.
4. Keep the roof free of clutter so that you lower the risk of tripping on an object and falling over the side.

Asphalt is also one of the materials that is commonly used to finish driveways and oftentimes people struggle to make a decision between concrete and asphalt.popular option. Both materials have advantages and disadvantages, primarily in four distinct sections.
Meet the new Milwaukee MX Fuel Concrete Vibrator
Milwaukee has launched their newest MXF370-2XC concrete vibrator and it adds an even bigger power to push 2.5” head and greater functionality compared to previous modesl. The shift from corded electric and gas powered concrete options to vibrators that are powered with rechargeable batteries continues to grow and Milwaukee brings a powerful new addition to their concrete lineup.
Concrete Reinforcement: Strengthening Concrete the Right Way
Concrete is a strong material used in industrial projects but it is generally a weak material without any reinforcements. Reinforcements come in the form of metallic beams known as rebar that are placed within the concrete in patterns that add structural integrity. There are numerous methods to enhance the strength of concrete once it has been cast and we will review those steps below.
Reasons Why Rebar Breaks During The Bending Process
When it comes to construction, steel reinforcement or rebar, is one of the most important materials used. It adds tensile strength to concrete, which helps buildings and other structures withstand heavy loads. However, rebar is not indestructible
How to Tie Rebar
Rebar ties are an important step in the process of concrete placement. Without proper ties or tying technique the structural integrity is at risk. When concrete is pour and placed a poor rebar tie may move the overall positioning of the rebar beams in a mat. This may cause major structural issues so it is important to have a trained professional complete the task of tying the rebar bars into place.
