What is a Copper Rerounding Tool
A copper rerounding tool is a hand tool used by plumbers to remove the slight bulge in a copper tube, that occurs when a tube is bent 90 degrees or less. Compression fittings rely on round copper tubing, pipe rerounding tools have been designed to provide a complete, effective and time saving method for the round sizing of copper tubes.
The tool consists of a two part housing with a clamp mechanism that is quickly adjustable to round most sized pipes. The tool can be used with 3/4", 1" and 1-1/2" copper tubes and the process takes less than 5 minutes per tube.
The tool is easy to use, simply clamp onto the copper tube, round the outer diameter as required and cut away any burrs on either side of the pipe wall. No need for additional tools or fixtures are required to make this a simple rerounding job in your plumbing shop.
