Air Scrubber Hepa
A hepa air scrubber helps in the removal of containments in the air such as mold and other airborne particles. Also known as negative air machines, they are portable and are used in the hvac industry and also found in rental stores.

How does an air scrubber work?
An air scrubber constantly draws in the air from the room, processes it through a pre-filter which retains the larger particles and then filters it through the sensitive HEPA filter, retaining the smallest articles. The cleaned air is afterwards released into the room again. Depending on the desired frequency, the entire air of the room can be cleaned every few minutes.
What types of particles can an air scrubber/air cleaner catch?
The air cleaner filter is extremely efficient and captures up to 99.97% of all airborne particles larger than 0.3 microns. What type of particals does that cover?
Plant spores (10-80 microns), fungus spores (5-30 microns), bacteria (3-5 microns), tobacco smoke (0.1-0.5 microns), viruses (0.003 – 0.5 microns)
How do I choose the right sized air scrubber to clean a room?
-Two parameters are essential, air volume of the room (m³) and the desired frequency of cleaning the entire air volume per hour.
-Multiply the air volume of the room with the desired air cleaning frequency to obtain the needed air flow capacity.
EXAMPLE:
Air volume = H x W x L = 3 x 8 x 12 = 288
The desired air cleaning frequency is 10 times per hour
The needed air flow capacity = 288 x 10 = 2880 m3/h
You will need air scrubber that will handle 2880 m3/h
Summary:
Buying an air cleaner is a large investment, if unsure of what size machine you will need, try renting one from a rental house, Home Depot or Lowes. This was you can also speak to an expert about the costs of ownership for replacement parts like hepa filters or what customers near you are purchasing and what the sales have been on certain machine sizes.
